ASR Tradeshow

I was at the ASR Tradeshow last week representing Dickies. They had me signing a Dickies card with my pictures on it.

It was really neat to be a part of the show with them.

The tradeshow, in general, had less people at it this year then I remember from recent years, but it was still a successful event. It was interesting to see the companies that were there, and the ones that weren't. Everyone in attendance had business on their minds, and some good things happened.

The first day of the show, we had a ton of traffic at the Dickies booth. The guys worked hard all day long taking orders and meeting with new vendors. Its always fun to see people you know stop by and chat for a bit. You never know who you will run into at one of these things. I also met some very interesting people in-passing throughout the day.

They had a vert skate ramp in the back of the show. I was very tempted to go session it for a while, but I was there to work! Occasionally you could hear the crowd go crazy...cant wait to see the footage.

I walked around and met so many cool people and saw some old and new things. There was also some interesting products that for sure got me to laugh. I was impressed with the 'Green' companies and the sustainable products they are coming out with. I cant wait to see how it affects the Action Sports Industry. I know a few of my sponsors are taking a 'Green' approach to a few of their products, and they are getting a great response from it. All in all, it was a good event and I cant wait for the next one.

I was asked to do an interview for My Local Line Up TV. Of course I couldnt say no!

Luckily, Jeff from Dickies, was in the interview with me. He was able to go over some of the amazing cuts and styles to come from Dickies this year. Some of my Fav's are the Slim Cut Jeans, and the Plaid Action Sports line. Look for them to come to a surf shop near you soon!

My ASR Experiance...thanks Dickies

I have to say Dickies is an awesome sponsor! During the ASR show, they hooked me up with a sick hotel in Downtown San Diego. I cant help but be fascinated by the buildings that make up San Diego's Skyline. Enjoy the pics I took from the balcony in my room.

Luckily for me the hotel was close to the Convention Center where the Show was being held.

I was in the same hotel as Ken Bradshaw, famous Big Wave Surfer. (He is a nice guy) From what I heard, all the hotels in SD were booked because of the show, so I was fortunate to be close enough to walk.

As I hopped into the elevator to go to the 14th floor, I realized...it was actually the 13th floor.

hahaha I'm not superstitious, so everything worked out okay that night! Above is a view looking down...

...check out some of the steller shots of Downtown San Diego I was able to get after the sun went down. I like how the lights make the pics more lively.

One night is never enough when your at a plush hotel.

After a nice and relaxing snooze, I was off for one more day of the ASR tradeshow.

Thanks again Dickies!
