Cabo story #5- The Arch

The last day of our trip, we took a paddle across a bay to the Arch. It’s the Southern most tip of Cabo San Lucas. We had 3 SUP’s, backpacks and a couple of cameras and set off on a 5 mile (give or take) journey. Along the way we ran into schools and schools of Manta Rays. They were breaching the water and flying like birds. They would then belly flop back into the water. There was over 40 Manta Rays jumping out. We were a bit freaked out that they would breach and flop on top of us or the boards. When we got to the Arch, it was amazing! (Be sure to see the episode on My Local Lineup, I'll share the air dates as soon as I have them. ) The water was crystal clear, but the currants were horrendious. There was a combination of ground swell hitting the cape and making gigantic crossed up ground swells. It make if challenging to but more exciting as well. When we returned, we all agreed that it was the highlight of our trip, and we all just wan to do it again.
